I’ve seen so many people tonight with constipation.

 

I put it down to all the delicious food we’re eating while in lockdown from the weekend here in Sydney. Usually when a big weekend rolls around I always know to stock up on antacids or anti-nausea wafers. Unusually today, it’s constipation with a dash of hemorrhoids. Totally conjecture now but perhaps with the lockdown of gyms too, people are eating but just not moving enough – catch the pun?

 

3 tips for easy pooping

  1. use a potty stool (or two Yellow Pages books) to get into a squat-like position. The Asians knew what they were doing after all…
  2. have fibre, eat your favourite fruit and vegetable daily – mine is oats and a Granny Smith apple
  3. ease off the coffee, switch in some water. Each coffee = 2 cups of water (1 for lost opportunity cost, 1 for the diuretic effect of caffeine)
